I met Kristi about 6 months before her wedding. I'll never forget how she sat on the edge of the sofa and spoke in such excited tones about her wedding..but when the discussion turned to photography, she became very serious. She explained that photography was the most important feature of her entire wedding and that whomever she chose needed to understand this. I was enthralled. She was my kinda bride and I said a little prayer that she would choose DVB Photographers.
She did and we had an absolutely FABULOUS day together and long with some other fabulous wedding professionals!
Kristi's theme was celestial because every time JP returned from being deployed or traveling, he always brought her a sun or moon. They displayed all the pieces at the wedding with a note about where each one was purchased. It was a beautiful way to tie the wedding theme together. The guests loved it.

More often than not, I don't meet my brides until their wedding day. I have moments to make a connection that will create emotive images to span generations. That is the art of my work. But sometimes, I get to meet my bride - even if only for an hour. And then...sometimes, I have known her for years and watched her become a wonderful woman.
Brawner is one such bride. I've known her since her college days at UGA and she always said one day, I'd get the call. That day is this September and I am overjoyed to travel to Richmond to witness her marriage JJ.
Brawner was recently in Savannah as a wedding guest and we carved out 20 minutes for a quick photo session. I wanted her to do a trial run with hair and make up to get comfortable in front of the lens. It is always a little more uncomfortable when the bride knows me...odd, but true.
Well, she is stunning...
