Lauren and Greg have become dear friends to Donna and myself. Donna had the opportunity to share in their intimate marriage before Greg was deployed to Iraq. I am so glad that they decided to share their love with their friends and family and especially because they wanted us there to document their day! Lauren had the most beautiful Saturday that April has had thus far. I don't think that it would have mattered if it was storming. All she wanted to do is celebrate her marriage and be with the love of her life...Greg.
So without further delay....Lauren and Greg and their special day!
Lauren's sister was hilarious. I don't know who was more excited about the day...her or Lauren...
Oh, I think that I forgot to mention that our girl Lauren went to the Culinary Institute of America and was on that show on bravo...you know...TOP CHEF!!! As you can see she is pretty talented. She made this cake herself!!! Pretty amazing and by the way it tasted as good as it looks...!
Thank you sooo very much for letting me share in your celebration! Wish you both the best and thank you Greg and all of your wonderful friends for protecting each and every one of us!!!!
Laura and Mickey got married Saturday. While Laura was nervous primping and getting everything in order Mickey was over the moon. I have never, ever seen a groom so in love. He truly believes that Laura hung the moon and adores her. I was enamored with his love for her and their sweet, sweet daughter, Sophie.
That is not to say Laura wasn't over the moon, herself --she was gorgeous!
Adorable Sophie.
And she loves pearls...training her right from the beginning.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful day in your lives. I am so happy for you both. I hope you enjoyed
a few days away --but I bet you missed that yummy, cutie, Sophie!
Julia, an avid photographer herself, asked me to photograph her kids at the beach. I knew she had high expectations and with 2 little ones and a whole lotta beach...well, we had a great time. Julia, I hope you love them! --The images, I mean --I know you love your kids. ha!
It is no secret --she is my sister and Tate's mom. And no, she doesn't care if I post these on the blog. She looks fabulous! We had a little fun while I was in Cleveland she wanted to do something nice for Keith...so don't tell him...though we had a heck of a time keeping the kids out of our hair. Can you even imagine? We got them all busy playing Wii and just when we get rolling...five kids come banging on the door. "Mom, what are you doing in there?" "Why can't we come in?" and Laurie and I telling them to leave a bazillion times and finally screaming --"Get Out!!!" "we'll be down in a minute." Finally, we just ignored them and they slowly disappeared...back to the Wii.
I mean, really, how do these kids know when to bug us? Isn't it always, always the minute you pick up the phone!.
Anyway, back to Laurie --three kids, a lot of stress as a CF mom, and she still finds time to take care of herself and feel beautiful. I am so proud of her.
It took a few weeks...oh, about 6, but I finally got to meet, little man, Walker. I met his mom last January when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding.
I was thrilled when she called to ask if I would photograph her first born. I consider it such an honor because I know how important every little detail seems because your baby changes every day.
Walker was bright-eyed and calm. He never fussed, never cried and would not close his eyes...not once. There were no sweet sleeping baby images..nope, Walker was too busy making the most of his first shoot. His eyes made me melt...its as if he knew I needed him to connect with the camera. Sweet, sweet, baby.
Walker, my Man, you've got a career in pictures ahead of you!
Thank you to Kristin and Chris...for allowing me to document the beginning of your family. You are truly blessed.
