What do you say when a wedding is damn near perfect? How do I describe to you that the weather, the details, the food, the people and the love was like a collision of joy? I mean, really, Kelli and I talked about it for days and we certainly didn't want to leave.
First of all, Becca and Todd are some of the warmest and most generous couple's we have come across. Kelli and I traveled to get to their wedding and they showered us with gifts, food and concern for our well being. We felt as if we'd known Becca and Todd forever and hadn't just met them night before the wedding.
Poor Becca, I think she lost some of the dream when she met me. I love all my brides and that comes across on the web. What doesn't always translate online is my sense of humor and sarcasm. I think she thought I was icky sweet to the core but I've got a little tart in me:) It proved to be a fun friendship, Becca and I.
I could go on for days, instead I am going to show you a few images over the next few days and let you soak in the beauty of Lake Placid and true love. I mean, come on, not every groom looks at his bride this way. It was so touching and made Kelli and I cry --well, we cried all weekend.
This was the sky around 8pm. Breathtaking.
A few black and whites to hold you over...
Have a great night.

Well --it is here again. The first day of school. Actually, I am 4 days behind but hey, I took the pictures.
It has been a crazy week to say the least with Lou working 55 hours, us coming home home from Maine and Lake Placid to a freshly painted house (which is fabulous) but with all the furniture pushed in the center of the room. An empty fridge, loads upon loads of laundry. You can imagine the chaos. It is going to take another week to settle back down but it was all worth it.
It is a big year for our family --well, mostly for me. Both Nolan and Gray are attending St. Peter's full time.
That means I am getting my life back a little bit and I'll have a normal schedule. No more 2 hour windows of
naps or preschool care to get images edited or get to the grocery store. No more working until 1am because it is the only quiet time I have. I can actually work for 4 hours at a time uninterrupted in the middle of the day. I know you mom's out there understand completely.
I've said it before, I don't cry the first day and this time I was even more excited than usual. Nolan was thrilled to be going to the "big kid" school. He wouldn't even kiss me goodbye --this from my Mama's boy. And Grayson is a 1st grader. They were both so ready to get back into a routine and see all their friends they missed due to our summer travels.
Remember several months ago when I asked you all to vote on my new logo. You've been so, so patient --and in a week or so you are going to see the new look of DVB. I just approved the new webblog design today. I LOVE IT! That is right --no more website and blog --DVB is going to be all in one place.
We are knee deep in emails, requests and processing...but I wanted to share a few quick images of sweet Allison.
Kelli was hard at work while I was in Maine.
