Hundreds of weddings, thousands of calories of white wedding cake, dozens and dozens of room temperature turkey sandwiches, gallons of diet coke, bottles of alleve, and I still love it. In fact, I love it more now than ever.

Three times, now, I have flown to Grand Cayman for Engage!! Luxury Wedding Business Summit. I wonder, how does it get better and better? Part of it is the relationships I have built --this being my 8th Engage. Part of it is being submerged in a fish bowl with people in my industry for three days. The conference keeps us going from 8am until midnight and sometimes longer for those who are strong-willed. We listen to some of the most influential people in the industry share their stories and insights and even challenge us to raise the game. And yes, it can be game-changing if you are willing to get out of your own way.
The real magic happens in the "inbetween"...the moments when someone grabs your hand and says " I want to catch up with you." Eventually, you find yourself in a quiet corner of the resort. Heads bents together, you'll be deep in conversation with another soul who chooses to delight in someone else's celebration every Saturday night (or Friday, Sunday...hey, even Wednesday's).

The entire Engage conference is dressed in luxury from the linens to these amazing papers, programs, and name cards. They were all hand painted by the artist, Kristy Rice. She sketches the whole conference, too.
